Crocodile Shark Photos - A Pelagic Shark From Tropical and Sub-Tropical Oceans

The crocodile shark, Pseudocarcharias kamoharai, is a pelagic or open-ocean shark that lives in tropical and sub tropical waters of all oceans, usually offshore and a long way from land. It is medium in size, growing to three and a half feet in length. The crocodile shark is gray with a paler underside, white edged fins and sometimes with white spots on its body. They feed on small palegic fish, squid and shrimp. They are oviviparous, with the enbryos feeding on a yolk sac, and up to four pups in a litter. It has large eyes but does not have a nictitating membrane.
